Customer Opinions

A lot of customers claim that Fitness First Dubai Media City is a great gym with a good variety of machines and equipment; it is praised for its cleanliness. The swimming pool is also apparently very good, with accommodating and professional staff. It is in a good location (easily accessible from Tecom and Knowledge Park) and offers parking – great for those who drive. However, many complain about a sewage smell near the weights area. There is also not enough benches for bench presses, and the gym lockers are not in good condition and the swimming pool is not temperate controlled. The parking is difficult to find and is only free for 1.5 hours – after that it costs 25 AED an hour. Additionally, because of its prime location, it becomes extremely congested in the evenings. Furthermore, group exercises classes have been cut in half.

 The Bottom Line

Overall, Fitness Dubai Media City is a luxurious platinum branch with ample amounts of gym equipment. Not many Fitness First Branches offer a pool, but this one does – with a swim academy too. It is great for beginners because the staff are helpful and the gymnasium is large. It is a great recommendation for those who live near it and are looking to train with Personal Trainers or on their own. However, if you will be commuting by car, it is best to consider the cost of parking and whether it will be feasible for you over a long period of time. It also does not facilitate a ladies-only area, it is only mixed. This gym also becomes very congested during the evenings, so if you plan on working out after work, it may be a factor you may want to consider.
